Fees vary by therapist, reflecting each clinician’s training, experience, and approach. During your free consultation call, you can discuss session rates, insurance options, and any questions about payment.
Most of our providers are out-of-network for insurance, though some accept a limited number of insurance plans. Out-of-network benefits may help cover the cost of sessions, and our clinicians can provide superbills to support reimbursement and help navigate this process.
Some providers offer sliding-scale options, while others do not or may have limited availability at reduced rates. Your consultation call is the best time to discuss what works for your needs and budget.

Your first session is a chance to get to know your therapist, share what brought you to therapy, and ask any questions about the process. We’ll discuss your goals, current challenges, and what you hope to gain, all at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.
Your first session is also the start of therapy itself. Whether you choose in-person sessions at our West Village offices or virtual sessions across New York State, your therapist will explain their approach and create space for you to begin wherever you need—sharing what’s on your mind, releasing what you’ve been holding, and exploring your goals and concerns.
While the session includes intake elements like reviewing confidentiality and gathering basic information, we prioritize real, client-centered work from the very first visit. This session sets the tone for collaborative, trauma-informed therapy that meets you where you are and begins supporting your growth immediately.

A Good Faith Estimate is a document that outlines the expected cost of therapy before you begin treatment. It helps you understand fees, session rates, and potential out-of-pocket expenses so you can make informed decisions about your care.
At West Village Therapy Collective, each therapist provides a Good Faith Estimate, whether you’re seeking in-person therapy in the West Village, NYC or virtual sessions across New York State. This ensures transparency and clarity, so you can focus on finding the right therapist and beginning trauma-informed, depth-oriented care without surprises.
